這本書我買很久了，一直沒看，當初是因為《風之名》的作者寫道：
I expected this book to be witty. I expected it to be clever and fun. And it was. It was all of those things in spades. But I didn't expect it to be sweet and sad and honest and touching. I mean, it's framed as a choose-your-own-adventure. You don't expect those to be heartfelt, emotional stories....(中略)
speaking as a writer, it was irritatingly well written. It just doesn't seem fair that Harris should be able to sing, dance, act, AND write this well.
所以我馬上下單了，但我一直拖到最近才看。
坦白講，我沒看過他演的任何影集或電影，但那完全不影響這本書的好看程度。書裡完整描述了他從童星到現在的演藝經過，中間穿插了他開始覺得自己是同性戀，後來遇到現在的伴侶，被逼著出櫃，兩人成為雙胞胎家長的過程。
我特別喜歡他和另一半David相識相戀、成家，進而養兒育女的歷程，還有很多好笑的經歷，例如認識Elton John的經過，主持東尼獎和艾美獎的準備過程等等。他真的是硬底子演員，雖然天生就適合吃這行飯，但非常努力。
再加上他自己唸有聲書，這本書完全是物超所值。他本身除了接大小銀幕的戲劇以外，也演音樂劇和舞台劇，做卡通配音，幫有聲書配音，所以口條清晰，唱作俱佳，整本有聲書娛樂度爆表。
